La Palma

La Palma, known as La Isla Bonita (The Beautiful Island), is the most northwesterly of Spain's Canary Islands, famous for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush laurel forests, abundant banana farms, and excellent stargazing due to its clear skies (Starlight Reserve). This green island features deep ravines, black sand beaches, volcanic cones, and rich marine life in its marine reserves, offering stunning natural beauty, from the Caldera de Taburiente National Park to lava fields and natural pools. Its economy relies on agriculture (bananas, tobacco) and growing tourism, while its capital is Santa Cruz de La Palma.
